IBPS Examination – Know more about the Exam Pattern, Online Application and Admit Card

On Jan 25, 20201, IBPS Admit Card for the Mains phase of the Probationary Officers (PO) examination was released. The IBPS Admit Card will have all the relevant information like roll number of the candidate, exam venue, date of the examination etc.

The IBPS Admit Card for Prelims and Mains are different. Only the candidates who successfully clear the prelims stage are eligible to appear for the Mains stage of the examination. Candidates who have qualified for this phase of the examination can download their IBPS Admit Card by visiting the official website.Once the candidate visits the official website, click on the link for downloading the admit card, fill the roll number or registration number, enter the password or date of birth, and then click on the login button, the admit card for download will appear in front of your screen.

Many public sector banks conduct their recruitment through IBPS exam. The IBPS exam results will be used to fill vacancies in the Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Union Bank of India, UCO Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank. The different IBPS examinations are IBPS RRB, IBPS PO, IBPS SO, IBPS Clerk.

IBPS Apply Online – The application process is completely online. Some of the important dates for 2020, Probationary Officer (PO) were, IBPS Apply Online from August 5th to August 26, 2020. IBPS PO Apply Online (Supplementary) dates were from October 28 to November 11, 2020. The 1st phase of the IBPS PO Prelims Examination was scheduled on October 3, 10, 11, 2020 and the second phase is scheduled on January 6, 2021. The IBPS PO Mains exam was scheduled on February 4, 2021.

The IBPS PO Preliminary exam consists of three sections, English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. English language has 30 questions, time allotted is 20 minutes and the marks allotted are 30. The Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability section has 35 questions each, both the sections are evaluated for a maximum of 35 marks and the time allotted is 20 minutes. There will be negative marking for wrong answers, hence candidates have to be very careful while answering the questions. Each wrong answer will result in deduction of marks by 1/4th of the marks allotted to the respective question.

The IBPS PO Mains examination will have one descriptive paper, it is the English language paper, which will test a candidates ability in essay and letter writing. There will be two questions and the maximum marks allotted will be 25. The time allotted for this paper is 30 minutes. There are four different sections in the Objective type. The Computer Aptitude and Reasoning section will have 45 questions, the total marks allotted is 60 and the total time allotted for this section is 60 minutes. The English Language section will have a total of 35 questions, total marks allotted is 40 and the total time allotted will be 40 minutes. The Data Analysis and Interpretation section will have 35 questions and the total marks allotted will be 60 and total time allotted for this section is 45 minutes. The General Awareness, Economy and Banking Section will have 40 questions, and total marks allotted will be 40 and the total time allotted will be 35 minutes.
