London is such a vast and vibrant city that it can be difficult to imagine you could end up bored, but it happens! Sometimes we all need a little hobby in our life to make it more entertaining. It can be a great way to get a new skill, to meet new people or to get out and about in general. We have put together some ideas that could help you find something right for you.
Go to Trapeze School
This may seem a little out there, and it’s definitely something that is for the more adventurous people reading this – but it can be lots of fun. There are schools out there that will offer 2 hour sessions so you can end up flying in the sky. There is usually some flexibility, so you can choose between actual courses, or just ad-hoc drop in options. Summer is here, and it’s a great way to enjoy the warmer weather.
Read lots of Books
There are so many libraries that are based in London, that you could tuck yourself away and enjoy a nice coffee or tea and a good book. Since the world of Kindles and other kinds of e-Readers have arrived, it can be difficult to remember a time when you turned the pages of a good book. The great thing with libraries is that you don’t need to pay for books – unless you bring them back late of course.
Learn some Photography
There are some fantastic photography classes in London for those of you who are a bit on the creative side. Photography schools can provide you lots of different course options, so you can hone your skills. It’s a fantastic skill to learn and can be a great way to meet people who have similar interests to you.
Learn to Play an Instrument
Again, this is one for the creative people out there. Have you ever gone to a gig or watched a show like Britains Got Talent, and wished that that could be you? Learning a new instrument can be done with the help of lots of teachers and tutors based in London, or else there are even apps on your phone that can help you to learn.
Learn Burlesque Dancing
This is another one that can seem a little out there, but burlesque dancing is something that’s becoming an increasingly popular type of class. There are usually lots of options – so why not go to a taster session to see if it’s for you? There’s nothing to lose. If you are ready to commit straight away, there are some good courses that you could enrol in.
If you are looking for something new to try, or you want to take up a new hobby – hopefully this list gives you a good place to start.
